The 20th Japan National Confectionery Expo in 1984 (Showa 59). Meika Sharon received the Prime Minister's Award and became famous not only locally but throughout the country.
My father's belief was "Issho-Ippin (one product for a lifetime)". It means "make one unique product in a lifetime that will be loved by everyone and to leave our name in history".
I thought my father's beliefs might work in the world. And we decided to take on the challenge of "Monde Selection", which is a world-class product evaluation institute with great name recognition.
Starting from a place that no one knows, through trial and error, I thought that Monde Selection was the best opportunity to challenge the world with my father's "Issho-Ippin" that has been loved by everyone for over 40 years in Japan.

THE FIRST APPLICATION WAS 2016...”SILVER”
Our first application was 2016 with "Kuroishi Chou Roll". The result was SILVER AWARD.
When I saw the newsflash by email together with my employees, I remember we were all very disappointed with the result.
This was the beginning of a new challenge to win the GOLD AWARD.
CHLLANGED AGAIN WITH “Isho-Ippin”, Meika Sharon
We applied for Monde Selection 2017 with my father's "Isho-Ippin", the "Meika Sharon".
We won the GOLD AWARD.
Not only my father, but all the employees were delighted. We worked hard together, so the victory was for everyone in our company.
"Meika Sharon" which received the GOLD AWARD for the first time, improved to smoother texture, renewed the packaging. We have worked hard to make customers happier.
AFTER “GOLD”, TO AIM HIGHER
Many customers told me, "after you won the Monde Selection, it became an even better product." After that, I couldn't think of anything other than the highest, "GRAND GOLD AWARD“.
Sometimes I concentrate too much on making prototypes and ended up in the late night. However, the next result was also GOLD. It is hard to get the GRAND GOLD.
What is missing?
Is Sharon has not taste enough to win GRAND GOLD?
Our product is not just a "Sharon", it is “Meika Sharon” that awarded already in Japan.
We cannot give it up. I only think of taking a pride.
We improved it to a frozen product so that you can carry or deliver the cake anywhere freshly. Also, for a gift occasion, we made an outer box to keep the shape and temperature of the cake. We always thinking about customer first.
MONDE SELECTION 2019..."GRAND GOLD“!!
And we challenged Monde Selection 2019.
Thanks to everyone, we won the "GRAND GOLD AWARD“.
The founder is my father and I am the second generation. I would like my son, who leads the next generation, to see the stage of Monde Selection and feel the pride of Syaron Kanyodo.
I brought my son to the award ceremony in Rome.
The city of Rome was beautiful and wonderful.
Also the moment when my son and I went up to the stage at the ceremony, it was an unforgettable experience and very special to me.
